DTA Wales supports and promotes development trusts who are local organisations that use enterprising methods to bring about and deliver the long term regeneration of their communities.
DTA Wales support and services include:
- Support for new and emerging development trusts in Wales to grow and build their organisation, services and enterprise.
- Support for a practitioner ‘Learning Network’ and developing exchange of skills and knowledge between practitioners and organisations.
- Promoting our members and their achievements and services and raising awareness of Development Trusts through this website and publications.
- Promotion and support of Regen School Wales
- Development of best practise case studies.
- Organising training, conferences and events to support development trusts: and social enterprise learning and development
- Promoting and assisting with community owned ‘Asset Development’ and ‘Asset Transfer’.
- A quality ‘Healthcheck’ for our members and promotion and support for Social Accounting and Audit and other ways to measure and capture our impacts.
- Advice to emerging development trusts and community organisations on social and community enterprise and increasing trade and income.
- Attracting investment for our sector (and social and community enterprise)
- Influencing policy development and helping policy makers understand our sector.
- Working with others who share our values and vision.
