Description & History

Plas Cybi Partnership is a Communities First project funded by the Welsh Government. 

Communities First exists to:

• Get local people involved in improving their areas and their own prospects;
• Bring in funding and support from a range of sources to make things happen;
• Ensure that improvements last;
• Encourage flexibility, risk-taking and new ways of dealing with problems;
• Bring everybody together to identify community problems and to do something about them. 

Plas Cybi was formed as an amalgamation of the old Town and Maeshyfryd wards. 

Plas Cybi is a Company Limited by Guarantee and a registered charity.

We are also a winner of the 'Investor in People' award.

The Partnership is made up of a Board of Directors/Trustees, staff and volunteers.

We are given an annual budget by the Assembly for running costs and certain projects.

We also access other sources of funding so we can offer a range of activities for the community.

We have monthly partnership meetings which are open to any member of the community.

All Directors are unpaid and give their time and effort freely for the benefit of the community.
